"juicy peach, delicate lime acidity, cherry and caramel sweetness"

The Amor de Dios Community, located in an altitude of 1.700 masl, has had their own wet
plant in the past and has a great history of participating in several regional competitions in
Bolivia.

The community consists of 15 families who work on their finca with mixed crops such as
avocado, lime, lemons, oranges and maracuya. Most of them live in the same place where
they cultivate the coffee and other crops. They are aware of the quality of their coffee and the prizes won in several tournaments, eg. cup of excellence, kept them eager to keep evolving and processing their coffee the best way possible.

Unfortunately, due to climate change the production has gone down and also the wet plant is not working anymore. The community is now processing their coffee on Asocafé’s wet plant, a local NGO, on 1.000 masl, which allows them a better control of the drying process.

The person who is mainly in charge of the processing is Rene Millares. As a member of
Asocafe’s directory he is also responsible for commercializing the coffee and for
coordination and knowledge sharing in the community itself.

Rene has many years of experience as a coffee produder and was in charge of exportation of microlots for a Spanish client for many years. The knowledge he gained in those years he is now happy to share with the community’s members in order to foster the coffee quality in his neighborhood.
